Q - How long has Pengo been in business?
A - Pengo was established in 1950.

Q - How can I become a Pengo Dealer or Distributor?

Q - What is the lead time?
A - Lead time will be determined when order is placed.

Q - What are your terms?
A - Thirty days net with approved credit.  We will also take credit cards or you can pre-pay with check prior to shipment.  These must be arranged when order is placed.

Q- What diggers can Pengo augers be used on? 
A - Pengo offers augers for skid steer loaders, mini excavators, mini skids,
3-point post hole diggers, one and two man diggers.

Q - What manufacturers use the Pengo augers?
A - Pengo supplies augers for Landpride, Service Rhino, Modern, Tecnomec and have a strong distributor network for replacement augers in the U.S. and Canada.

Q - Does Pengo supply rock augers?
A - Yes, Pengo offers dedicated rock augers, and also offers a "NEW" BOLT ON ROCK HEAD, (BoRH) that converts the Aggressor auger to a rock auger in minutes.

Q - What size augers are available?
A - Depending on the power unit, auger sizes are available from 6" to 36" width and various lengths.

Q - What hub sizes are available?
A - Depending on the auger, Pengo offers 2 9/16" round, 2" round and 2" hex, as well as numerous hub variations for one and two man diggers.

Q - Does Pengo supply a post hole digger?
A - Pengo currently supplies a One Man Post Hole Digger powered by a Honda GXV 50 4 stroke engine, with auger sizes specifically designed for the digger.

Q - Does Pengo offer auger extensions?
A - Yes, auger extensions are available in various lengths with a choice of hub sizes.

Q - What are the advantages of the TriFlow pilot bit?
A - Three drill points provides 50% longer wear, and better drilling stability.

Q - Is carbide treatment available?
A - Yes, Pengo offers both carbide and hard facing.

Q - What flight types are available?
A - Pengo offers single, double and semi double flighting depending on the auger category.

DRIVES

Q - What is the difference between a Auger Drive & Anchor Drive?
A - Pengo anchor drives are designed to be high torque low speed units suitable for installation of helical anchors or screw pilings. Auger drives typically are high speed low torque units that do not have the torque output for anchor installation.

Q - How do I determine the size of the drive required for installing anchors?
A - Consult the helical anchor manufacturer to determine the installation torque required for that product.

Q - How do I determine compatibility of the drive to the machine I want to install on?
A - Refer to the Pengo specification sheet for hydraulic system requirements for each model. Consult with a Pengo representative for machine sizing recommendations.

Q - How do I convert from the hex output shaft of the drive to a flat plate to attach to the anchor?
A - Pengo manufactures a hub adapter for this.

Q - Can you design the auger or flight?
A - No.  You need to supply a drawing or the specifications.

Q - Where do you ship from?
A - Cokato, MN or Laurens, IA

Q - Can a salesman give me a call?
A - Yes.  Either by phone or in person

Q - How soon can I get a quote?
A - Usually 1-2 days after drawing or specifications are provided to Pengo, this will also depend on getting material prices from vendors.

MD AUGERS

Q - How can I determine if the Pengo auger will work on my boom truck?
A - Measure the overall length, length of the flighting, diameter, and hub size to determine compatibility.

Q - Can I use an auger with a 2" hub on my derrick that has a 2-1/2" drive?
A - Yes, Pengo offers drive adapters for this purpose.

Q - Does Pengo build augers with thicker flighting?
A - Yes, Pengo can tailor the MD series augers to most request from thicker flighting to shorter overall length & flighting length.

Q - Can I convert my dirt auger to a rock auger?
A - Yes, Pengo offers bullet tooth shank plates for conversion of a dirt auger to rock application.
